Focus on drawing: 16. June - 31. July 2022
Urban islands: Steve Johnson's sculptures portrait urban life - whether a pedestrian island, a cinema or a bus stop. Irritating and intriguing at the same time, however, is the perspective: the viewer is below the sculpture and looking up at the earth beneath the scene, yet longing to see what is actually up on "ground floor".
Collections: Arts Council of England; Berlinische Galerie, Berlin; City Museum and Art Gallery, Birmingham; Henry Moore Institute, Leeds; Kulturamt, Wiesbaden; Science Museum, London; Strang Print Collection, University of London
