The realism of her works manifests itself especially in the reflections and light reflexes that Trossbach employs in all her works. The detailed realization of water drops, glimpses through a water surface, or the metal cap of a nail polish allow the materiality of her motifs to emerge clearly and make them tangible.
Her works have in common the effect of a still life paired with a like washed-out realism and bright colors. They capture the unobtrusive, understated beauty of everyday life that Trossbach finds in the object world of her surroundings. Charlotte Trossbach lives and works in Cologne. Her works have been presented regularly in various exhibition venues since 2005.
