Werner Berges

Werner Berges has had an impact on the German art scene since the 1960's. As a student and young artist he developed his own style of portraiting (mostly) women using strong colors and distinct lines that differed greatly from the art of Postwar-Germany. Ever since, he has been developing his art, experimenting with different materials and techniques and at the same time remaining true to his style. His oeuvre includes paintings, prints and sculptures. Werner Berges passed away October 26th, 2017.
