On December 18th, 2014 at 7 pm an artist discussion between the artist Werner Berges, museum director René Zechlin and curator Dr. Astrid Ihle will take place at Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen.
Werner Berges at Museum für Aktuelle Kunst

On November 14th, 2014 the "German Photo Book Prize" was awarded. "kopfüber", the catalogue with works by our artist Dirk Brömmel, won silver. Congratulations!
German Pop at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt
From November 6th, 2014 till February 8th, 2015 the exhibition "German Pop" can be seen at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt. The show offers visitors an art historical journey through the Federal Republic of Germany in the sixties - with fresh and cheeky artworks.
Our image shows "Startanten" by Werner Berges from 1967: models in stylish fashion - such as by Rudi Gernreich, an avantgarde designer who put his own stamp on fashion history.

On November 6th, 2014, the exhibition "German Pop" at the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt will start. What could be more fitting for this exhibition than to get publicity in the November issue of the revamped legendary magazine "Interview"? Our artist Werner Berges will have several artworks in this show - among others "Die Beiden", 1967 - to be seen on page 182.

Thomas Baumgärtel in Cologne-Nippes
On September 27, 2014 at 2 pm the latest project by Thomas Baumgärtel will be officially opened: for Kaufhof in Cologne-Nippes he sprayed a 10 meter long mural. The painting depicts a historical scene from the founding years of Kaufhaus Tietz.

Open Art 2014 in Munich
The Open Art 2014 of the galleries for contemporary art in Munich takes place September 12th thru 14th. We will present artwork by Steve Johnson (London), Birgit Luxenburger and Uwe Rachow. Here is a link to a film in which Steve Johnson talks about his sculptures.

The exhibition "Werner Berges: prints from the 1960's and 1970's" will be showing at Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen July 19th thru September 14th, 2014. A catalogue with text by Astrid Ihle will be published.
Helga Schmidhuber: Museum Wiesbaden
On June 20th, 2014 two exhibitions will be opened at Museum Wiesbaden: paintings by Albert Oehlen and in the project room works his former student Helga Schmidhuber. The title of her show is "Does Voodoo work?".
Wiesbaden is building bridges this summer: nine sculptures by nine artists from nine European cities and countries will be presented on Schwalbacher Strasse until July 19th, 2014. For more information, click here. Our photograph shows the work "Centrum" by the Austrian artist Eric Kressnig. This porthole, that was built into a concrete wall surrounding a schoolyard, creates a "visual bridge" between the two sides of the wall.
Goal, Goal, Gooal!
At the Junge Kunsthalle Karlsruhe the game of games is at the center of attention. From March 23rd thru August 10th artwork can be seen that has to do with football/soccer - among others by our artists Thomas Baumgärtel, Werner Berges, Katharina Dietllinger and Konrad Winter. "Short night" in Wiesbaden on April 5th
Wiesbaden calling: On April 5th, 2014 the 14th "short night" of the galleries and museums in Wiesbaden will take place fom 7 till 12 pm. 23 exhibitions can be seen, and reached in style - with a vintage car shuttle service.
